ProjectMatch ([Registered business name — placeholder]) operates a homeowner matching service in Canada. ProjectMatch is a homeowner matching service and does not itself provide renovation or contracting services. Any contractor or service provider matched through the service operates independently.

When you complete our project questionnaire we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address, postal code, the type of bathroom project you are considering, your main priority for the project, your preferred timeline, whether you own the property and your property type. We also record technical details such as the page you submitted from, referring website and campaign parameters (UTM values).

We practise data minimization: we ask only for what we need to review your request and connect you with a renovation professional.

• To review and verify your project request, including contacting you by phone, text/SMS or email.
• To determine whether a renovation professional serves your area.
• To share your request with an independent renovation contractor or service provider so they can respond with a quote.
• To understand demand in different regions and improve our service.

Where coverage is available, we may share the information in your request with an independent renovation contractor or service provider for the specific purpose of responding to your quote request. Those businesses operate independently of us and handle your information under their own privacy practices. We do not describe them as vetted, certified, approved or guaranteed.

We rely on the consent you provide when submitting the questionnaire to contact you about your request. We do not add you to unrelated marketing lists and we do not use pre-checked marketing consent boxes. You can withdraw consent or ask us to stop contacting you at any time by emailing privacy@projectmatch.ca. Any commercial electronic messages we send will identify us and include an unsubscribe mechanism.

We aim to handle personal information in line with the federal PIPEDA principles, and with provincial privacy laws where they apply, including Alberta’s PIPA, British Columbia’s PIPA, and Ontario requirements. Before offering the service in Quebec we will complete the additional steps required under Quebec Law 25. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting us.

We keep submitted requests only as long as needed for the purposes described above and for legitimate business or legal record-keeping. Submissions are stored in an access-controlled database. [Retention period placeholder — to be confirmed.]
